The Earth observation programme, known as Copernicus, is coordinated by European Commission and runs in collaboration with the European Space Agency and the European Environment Agency. Data are provided from satellites – especially the growing Sentinel constellation – and in situ monitoring. Services offered by Copernicus cover monitoring of land, sea and atmosphere, emergency management, climate change and security applications.
