The AKA organisation was granted the status of Associate Member and was invited to give a presentation.  It appeared that there are strong research activities in Finland in the field of the Human Brain Project and Graphene Flagships as well as the Flagship Pilots involving the majority of the 14 Finnish universities

The AKA is the second entity from Finland to join the FLAG-ERA Consortium, following TEKES – the Finnish Funding Agency for Innovation that joined FLAG-ERA earlier.  This brings the total number of FLAG-ERA members to 39 National and Regional Funding Organisations from 26 different countries including 22 Full Members and 17 Associate Members.  More information on AKA and contact details.
