MSCA ESOF satellite event: "Researcher and Society"

Date:
From 28/07/2016 to 29/07/2016

"This conference gives the opportunity to meet other researchers in the same situation and sharing experiences. I also really enjoyed the interesting talks on the employability of PhDs." Emma Martín Rodríguez, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, MSCA alumna.

Venue:
Manchester University

This year’s theme is “Researcher and Society”. We will reflect on the mission of the researcher vis-à-vis society, and their moral duty to share their knowledge with the general public, and to be ethical and transparent when presenting scientific data.

We will also discuss how researchers can get involved in shaping EU science policy, and explore the details of open science in a lively workshop. On the second day, you will have the opportunity to take part in a stimulating “elevator pitch” session and get training in understanding the new requirements to integrate the gender and ethics dimension in EU-funded research.

Last but not least, the first 150 participants will have the possibility to present a poster (fellows from the same project are encouraged to present a common poster).

We look forward to seeing you in Manchester in July!
