Final event of Leonid project on eHealth solution for lung cancer

On 1 December the final event of the Leonid project will take place. This project received funding through the SME Instrument of Horizon 2020 and developed a so far successful diagnostic device for lung cancer.
Date:
01/12/2016 - 01:00
Venue:
Via Ignazio Silone, 60035, Jesi, Ancona (Italy)

The main scope of the LEONID project was the development and validation of the clinical performance of a new diagnostic Nanostring-based device against existing standards (FISH and IHC) for the detection of in vitro biomarkers with predictive power of response to tyrosin kinase inhibitors used for lung cancer treatment.

According to Diatech Pharmacogenetics, the Italian SME behind the project, "the biomarkers that were clinically validated during the project implementation allowed us to develop a new diagnostic device. LEONID has a great commercial potential and we have already received expressions of interest by perspective clients."

The event will last half a day starting in the morning and will be composed of three main parts:

  1. Visit of the Diatech Pharmacogenetics seat and laboratories;
  2. Presentation of the project results and intervention of panels;
  3. Networking lunch.
