How should the EU respond to ongoing and future crises? The EU-funded research project TransCrisis seeks to advance understanding of the EU's capacity to handle transboundary emergencies.

The EU has a critical leadership role in managing pan-European crises. This includes ensuring EU institutions are able to: detect impending threats, collect and share information with partners, coordinate actions among countries, and communicate effectively to everyone – including the public – about needs and responses.
